i left home to pick mark and jt from bangor at 5am, and got to donington at about 10, we mooched around trying to find people we know, but jt spotted daf and almost gave him a broken back in the process, lol.

we met up with jez, giz and the others, and had a mooch around the arena, but what i didnt like about the weekend was camping, i could not sleep and those fuckers in the sky kept waking me up!!

after lamb of gods performance, drummer chris adler threw his stick, guess who caught it? ME!!!!!!! i was so chuffed i didnt want to let go, then i legged it over to the kerrang signing tent where mastodon were due to do some autographs, i waited for over an hour, bloody hell it was well worth the wait! they were such nice guys and i applauded brann dailor for being an amazing drummer and inspiration to me, i had a chat with bill kelliher i told him i didnt recognise 1 of the songs, and he said it was aqua dementia lol, i am shit with names, lol. troy sanders was quiet he smiled and asked how i was etc nice dude, brent hinds was different he wasnt quiet he was in a hyper mood and kept shaking my hand and said to me 'thank you very much for giving a shit' i have met one of my favourite bands of all time, and it was amazing!!

next day (or should i say this morning) i was still gushing about meeting mastodon and chris adlers drum stick, as we left we stopped into a nearby service station near the m1, and i saw some one else: TAKA FROM FEEDER!!!!!! i didnt speak to him and thankfully im not regretting it, i didnt like to bother him, he was standing right in front of me in the queue paying for petrol!!!

well thats my story, until next year....
