Damien will perform live this weekend in Santa Barbara, California. He will perform 'What If I'm Wrong?'" - the title song for the film, 'When The Dragon Swallowed The Sun' , premiering at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. The film reveals for the first time the struggle of a young Tibetan King who is expected to continue a 1400 year old lineage while the Tibetan freedom movement is at a critical crossroads.
The combination of award winning HD footage from India, China, Tibet and the US, along with a prologue narrated by Dennis Haysbert and an original soundtrack by Thom Yorke, Damien Rice and Philip Glass, makes this the first film that presents the complexity of the struggle with such emotional impact.
The film has already received 9 award nominations, including Best Picture and Best Director. It was presented with the Maverick Movie Award for Best Chronicle, Best Cinematography and Best Original Score. It is also one of the nominees for the Fund for Santa Barbara's Social Justice Award for Documentary Film during the 2010 Santa Barbara International Film Festival.
