- Me, Myself, and I
- Seven Piece Flogging Molly were formed by Belfast born David King in 1997 and began as a bar band who played Los Angeles Irish Bar Molly Malones.David King has expressed that in the early days they 'Flogged hell out of it',hence the name.Prior to Flogging Molly,David King was the vocalist of 80-90's Metal band Fastway featuring 'Fast' Eddie Clarke of Motorhead. The band draw inspiration for their riotous Irish Folk Rock/Punk from bands such as The Pogues.Other influences include The Clash,The Undertones and Stiff Little Fingers.Influences more personal to David King himself include Johnny Cash,Joe Strummer and the folk music he would hear at the local pub and in his own living room as a child in Belfast.
Describing the band's unique melting pot, King has said, "If it didn't have mandolin, accordion, fiddle and whistle, it would be punk-rock, and if it didn't have guitar, bass and drums, it would be traditional Irish music. Flogging Molly has both."
WE MUST STRONGLY STRESS THAT WE IN NO WAY REPRESENT FLOGGING MOLLY OR SIDEONEDUMMY AND THAT THIS BE SOLEY SEEN AS A FANPAGE.
