Well this morning I just finished reading The Forever War. It has been of the best books I've read. Many of the ideologies of the novel reflected that of the time when th novel was written. Most of the novel is based in the future. One thing which stood out the most to me was that in the future in the book, all Homo sapiens were Homosexual and were bred in test tubes from their DNA. In the novel the bit that shook me the most was that if a human was a Heterosexual then they were deemed to have a mind disorder. Now this I believe reflected back on the society of the year of 1975 when the novel was published. I believe that the Heterosexuals thought that if you were gay then you had something wrong with you.
I liked the idea of time relevance in this novel, the author had obviously researched physics for this novel.
But I'll let you decided if you wish to read this or not.
