      美國發生了一件錯綜複雜、離奇古怪的神秘死亡案件。

      死者名叫 "羅納德.奧帕斯"

      法醫驗屍後，斷定為 頭部受傷 死亡。

      死者從十一樓頂跳下試圖自殺（他留了一份遺書），但下落時，卻被從九樓一
       個窗戶內射出的獵槍子彈擊中，當場死亡。

      射手和死者都不知道，在該樓的八層高處有一副保護窗戶清洗工的安全網，因
       而奧帕斯不可能實現其自殺計劃。

      通過調查發現，射出子彈的屋內住著一對老夫婦。

      當時老兩口正在吵架，老頭情緒非常激動，抄起獵槍對著老太太扣動了扳機，
       子彈沒有打中他的妻子，卻穿過窗戶正巧擊中了奧帕斯。

      按當地的法律規定，某人試圖謀殺“A”，卻殺死了“B”，則按謀殺“B”
       罪論處。

      面對“謀殺”罪的指控，老兩口都堅持說，他們誰也不知道獵槍內裝的有火藥
       。

      老頭說﹕多年來他總是用空獵槍嚇唬妻子，他根本不想謀殺她。

      所以殺死奧帕斯看來是意外事故，也就是說，獵槍是被偶然裝上了火藥。

      通過進一步調查，找到了一位目擊者，他證明老夫婦的兒子在事發大約六周前
       ，往獵槍?裝了火藥。

      原因是老太太突然中斷了對兒子的經濟資助。

      兒子企圖利用父親常用獵槍嚇唬母親的習慣，借父親之手殺死母親。

      案件此時成了老夫妻的兒子謀殺了奧帕斯。

      更為離奇的是，老夫妻的兒子，正是這位名叫 羅納德.奧帕斯 的青年！

      他因遲遲未能實現謀殺母親的企圖而頗感失望，所以想跳樓自殺，不料卻被自
       己填裝的獵槍子彈擊中致死。

      按照法律規定，死者是自己謀殺了自己，因此，法醫最後判定﹕這是樁自殺案
       ！
