About Me

Me, Myself, and I: I love my life, I have been married since 1995, and I believe I have the best husband that money could buy! I have 2 great kids and I managed to find a job that keeps them with me. I am a teacher at their Christian school, and do a little "girl friday" work too. It's very rewarding. I also play piano at our small church where my hubby plays guitar. I am the keyboardist in a "garage band" called SpinCycle. We are bringing back some 80s pop and 70s disco and a little bit of recent stuff. Basically, we play anything you'd love to dance to. It is mostly for fun, but we've actually gotten paid too, so that's a bonus! We love company at our house! there is always something happening here. My kids even know it. They'll ask "Mom, who's coming over this weekend?" It's a blast. We live very close to Keystone lake where we boat, camp, and generally goof off in the warm weather. I love the water, and my children enjoy the days there. My husband is the musical talent in our family.

Music: Mine! Oh, and I like lots and lots of music. It's easier to say what I don't like... I don't like ghetto rap with lots of meanness in it. Not that I don't like rap, I don't like the meanness. Come to think of it, I only like HAPPY music, so anything that makes me happy or makes me cry (because of sentiment) is my favorite music.
Films: My fair Lady and Singing in the rain, the entire "Back to the Future" series, MIB (both), I recently enjoyed the Princess Diaries 2 with my kids, and I love anything that PIXAR has a hand in. Oh, and I'm still a die-hard starwars fan. I also like some other "dark" movies, but I'd rather just laugh my way thru a film.
Drinks: DOCTOR PEPPER!!! I'm certain that God let Dr. Pepper be invented just for me. So, I'm glad to share it's sweet deliciousness with the rest of the world, as long as there's a little left for me!! Seriously, I'm more health-conscious these days, and the Dr. Peppers are fewer. I love to drink mixed juices, and that's my usual daily drink. Occasionally, I'll have mixed juices with a little rum. I also enjoy wine, but don't drink it very often. I usually pick a white zinfandel, or a dry merlot depending on the meal.
