D) A jedi™ robe (In all honesty this would be so cool)

Ok, I've had a lot of people ask about why Obi died, how Obi died, WHERE'D HIS BODY GO MAN, stuff like that. It really all comes down to a few simple points.

1. He needed to stall Vader long enough so Luke and the others could get away. He was thinking of Luke's benifit.

2. He needed to become a "Force Specter" as I call it. He wasn't really dead because he became one with the living part of the force. In this state he would be able to contact Luke from anywhere.

3. He couldn't beat Vader. Vader was messing with him that whole fight and Obi knew it he was just buying time.

Ok, as much as I dislike him compared to Vader, Sidious truely was the greatest Sith of all time in my opinion. Now, how was the master planer who was able to manipulate an entire galaxy beaten by a 50 year old cyborg, and his poorly trained son? My therory is that the Emperor had never encountered defeat, thus was far too over confident. In example: When Vader vists Palpitine on the Death Star II, Vader says "A small Rebal force has passed the blockade." "Yes I know.(the "s the Emperor)" "My son is with them." "Are You sure?" "I have felt it." "Curious that I have not." That right there proves my therory. Just as the Jedi became blinded and arrogent in the NT (New Trilogy) the lord of the Sith ,who had been able to addapt to everything thrown his way, was unable to adapt to Luke and Anakin"s hidden love for his son in the OT (Origional Trilogy). His arrogence blinded him and lead to his end.
