As I sit in the car an interesting question comes across.
Do I believe in black or white?
I explain that the answer I have is not the answer being sought.
If there is anything that I want youth to understand it is that the world is not black and white, that black and white exists only in the minds of the insecure. You never have to be 100% of anything. A fate of choice is not without consequence, a body does not give up without the mind breaking, and a life filled with the greatest of opportunities is not fulfilled without a gut feeling. This is not to say that one cannot strive for 100%, it is just to say that 100% is not usually the answer.
The world is in shades of grey and bursts of color. Nothing is flat and aligned. There is a plan and you can lose your way and vice versa. That it is written does not mean that it is true. The weak have beliefs because they need something to hold on to in fear that if there isn't something there they will crumble. And that's not necessarily a weakness. The weakness lies in the unwillingness to grow though understanding of other ideals, not in the copping. And because you understand does not mean that you have to believe.0 Comments 306 weeks
