Why is it that men get an idea into their heads and then just can't let it go??? I love my DH, but there are times that he worse then any child I know!!!! Friday he decided to tell me about a plan he had for Sunday... And apparently he had already talked it out with the kids, because when I said it wasn't a good idea they all pouted about it.
CBGS's last day open was yesterday. CBGB's is a club in NYC (lower Manhattan) that started in 1973 to showcase local/new bands. They are renowned for bands like Blondie, The Romoanes, and many, many others. Scott and Julia had started talking about going there last year when they first put it out there that their lease was not going to be renewed. Scott didn't say anything to me about it until late friday afternoon that Sunday was the last day and he wanted to go. Needless to say after another whopping $700 vet bill, a new jeep for Scott (yippee, that makes 2 car payments a month now
(), birthdays all around, and my raise not coming in the way it was supposed to, we just didn't have the money. So I became the bad guy! Scott and the kids begged me, they said they would each pay for their own stuff, and we could pack food. Well, packing food meant that April got to go to the store and pack food, and do laundry and work on the house, and run Julia here and yon while everyone else just chilled.
Needless to say, I gave in because I'm a sucker, but I just wasn't able to go to the store and prepare food as well as everything else. so any extra money we might have had the next 2 weeks is now gone because not only was there $50 in tolls for this excursion, but we now had to buy food.
The other part of the deal was we would have to leave AFTER church. I had already made a committment to the choir director that I would be there Sunday morning, so I HAD to be there. What does this mean?? It means that we didn't get to leave until almost 11, so we didn't get to NYC until almost 4, and then because Scott didn't print out maps like I told him to do (that was the only thing he had to do on Saturday) and he refused to either stop for directions or find a store for a map, after CBGB's we got lost trying to get to downtown because the kids (and Scott) really wanted to go to Times Square. Matt's never been to NYC (except for to drive through on the way to Gma Keates') and we took Julia's friend Adam with us as well. Scott had this bright idea that CBGB's was really all we would do... Then he had the nerve to yell at me because the shitty ass planning he did!!!! RAH!!!!
Well, I guess that is enough moaning for one day
I need to go get some food (since we didn't get home till after 2 a.m. I wasn't up for packing my lunch).

It's been a while... Vacation was surprisingly wonderful!!! Scott & I both enjoyed our time at the beach with the family, and the time alone to unwind after we left. Scott had to get back to work, so we left Tuesday afternoon, but the kids stayed with the rest of his family, and they kind of had a good time. Apparently everyone got very crunchy the last couple of days! Glad we missed that!
It was nice having a quiet house to myself for a few days. I took the entire week off, although I did a lot of work from home, urgent issues that I wasn't able to get finished before I left (just not enough time in the day). But it wasn't bad, I was able to do how ever much I felt like doing, then put it away for a bit and do some stuff for me because nobody at the office expected me to be working. I did end up very sick though
( I had a feeling as soon as I stopped running around constantly and relaxed this damn sinus thing would finally hit full force, and boy did it ever!
Anyway, enough for now

Well it is looking like I'm not going to get to go on vacation after all... but that's ok, I will still take the time off, I'll just stay home and work on scrapbooking.... see how much I can get done in a week with no hubby or kids!!! Could be a very good thing! I'm still sad, because I would really love to do the VA beach thing with the family at least once so I can finally know if it's worth it, but it won't kill me to not go.
Besides... I'm still not really feeling great right now
And now my back and sciatica are really acting up, I'm wondering if that is the reason I got the never ending migraine that lasted for 2 weeks!? That is typically a pretty good indicator that my back is trying to pull something.
Anyway, I need to get back to work, just thought I'd do a quick update
