We made it! Our founding mothers created something beatiful, I will always be grateful for. My line sister Lily Hernandez planted the seed and through education, hard work and commitment we grew to become a chapter. We started at different places but finished together,unidas as one. Some were lost along the way. Their spirts were willing but there flesh was weak but those strong in character and commitment continued to take step after step after step. We shared in many experiences together along the way some highs some lows. We worked, battled, sweat and shared in tears. We started little sisters became line sisters, then big sisters, and some mothers. Our victory was sweet as we shared our day with one of our founding mothers Lupita Temiquel and surrounding sisters. Our advisor and sister Susana Munoz asked the founders to stand and be recoginzed then stay standing when she anounced we had achieved chapter status. We screamed of pure joy, cried, shook, and hugged until peace came over us knowing we had won. A seed was planted to grow and grow for many seasons to come.
