- Music
- You name it, I probably like it *with some limitations in the country and rap catagories. I love Ludicris but hate 50 cent, and can anyone really stand to listen to Milkshake by Calise? I like country from the past 5 years or so and old time country that your grandpa probably listened to. I'm big into 60s and 70s rock Lynyrd Skynard, Cat Stevens, CCR, the Eagles, the Outfield you get the picture. I also have an undying love for Billy Joel.
- Films
- I own around 200 movies, but my all-time favorites are still Shawshank Redemption, Sixteen Candles, Lord of the Rings, Dead Poets Society, Crash, When Harry Met Sally, The Goonies, and the Princess Bride.

Bye - bye Bebo
This blog serves as my farewell to Bebo. I've been here a long time and I've enjoyed connecting with people from back home while I've been exiled to Arkansas. I will miss Bebo as it is my favorite out of facebook, bebo or myspace but everyone else has fled, so I guess I will go with them. Anyway, here's my blog...
Life has been pretty steady most days. I'm not really fond of it lately as James has changed his schedule to having his days last from 10am to 11pm - often without naps. I know it's because he's teething (again I know. I swear it's one tooth after another around here) and he had a growth spurt in there too. But god, i just want him to go to bed earlier. I miss alone time with Mike.
Things are going well for my little business of selling PUL (the waterproof layer of modern cloth diapers). I've been selling 18x20" pieces of the fabric for nearly as much as I pay for a whole yard of it. I love it. We also recently sold off almost all of James' old feeding tube supplies. I just have 11 feeding tubes left. I guess I'll relist them soon.
I'm going tonight to pick up my new glasses. It's been 2 years since I had new frames so I'm excited to try something new. I like two styles of frames - black, angular frames and partial rimless blend-into-the-background sort of frames. This time I chose the frameless ones. I hope I like them. My pupil's were dilated for the exam so I couldn't really see any details when I was trying on frames afterwards.1 Comment 225 weeks

We've got teeth
Yup, James finally got 2 of the like 5 molars he's been trying to grow. They're not all the way through yet but they're certainly trying.
Things have been going great here. James goes to bed early now so Mike and I actually get to hang out. We started a Netflix account since we never get to go the movies anymore. I'm actually really excited that we get to go out tomorrow night. We have a babysitter and plan to go out to eat. Carrabas here we come.
In other news, we'll be moving once again. We will be switching buildings. We'll be back over by the first building Mike worked in. It's harder to get to town and everything but it's supposed to have the nicest RD apartment. Only problem is will no longer have a patio or any outdoor space and it's supposed to be smaller. Everyone says our apartment now is the biggest but being that I lived in one that was already bigger than this I have to disagree. My only thoughts are that this place may have more square footage but a lot of it is wasted space. The laundry room takes up 12sq feet more than it needs to. The handi-bath is bigger than James' bedroom. Things like that make this place smaller than it really is.
We'll move sometime in June or July. So, I've already started packing up some stuff. We decided to get a storage unit to store some of our extra stuff. So anything bound for the storage unit gets boxed first. I figured our last year in Arkansas shouldn't feel as cramped as the past 2 years. Why bother unpacking lesser used items when I know full well I'll be repacking them within a year.3 Comments 231 weeks

Mr Crab is back
In the never ending saga of James growing molars, today has been an active day. He's fine when he's awake (other than refusing to drink anything other than 6oz this morning and only hesitantly eating solid food). But, he refused to take a nap until 3:30pm. Okay, so I didn't give tylenol until 2:30 but I wasn't sure he was teething at first since he was in a fairly good mood and he drank well this morning. He ate great after the tylenol and went right to bed.
But geez I've been trying to go to the store all day. It totally sucks since I usually toss him in the crib and fetch him back out 2 hours later with no production, no need to help him go to sleep, etc. And today, I think I spent like 3 hours trying to get him to take a nap. Look at that, my accomplishment for the day is getting a kid to nap and making beef stew.
Now, I'm waiting for him to wake up or Mike to come back from class so that I can go to the store. JcPenney finally has their power back so I can go pick up James' 1 year pictures. I can't wait to get them. He was really cute in them.
Hmm, what's new...I sold $126 worth of stuff on Ebay this month (lots of James' old clothes, toys, books, etc). It's nice to finally get some of this crap out of the apartment. We have way too much stuff and I probably get to pack it all over the next several months. Mike will probably get put in charge of another building on campus which means we get to move again. I don't know if I ever recovered from moving 3 times in 2 months the last time. But I look forward to living somewhere else. I can't stand staying in the same place for too long (especially if I can't paint the walls and eveything is a lovely shade of khaki).

Heidi Monaghan2/24/09yeah i dont really know about the red stringy poop. i dont think i ever had a fish that had that. i did have a fish that would poop for like 4 hours. All i can tell you is that when they start to do the death roll, that is a bad sign. married life is good. we dont get to see each other much lately especially the last month, so that sucks but now we have text messaging so we text each other all the time. the dog is currently CRAZY. he was crated all day and i didnt have a chance to run home and let him out so now is being a maniac. he was an idiot when i took him for a walk a little bit ago, now he is sprinting around our house chasing his toys. he gets like that some times, i just sit back and make sure he doesnt break any thing.

It's funny normally for years I just put everything out there on bebo, but got tired of stuff being used against me off of it, so I have been keeping to myself more of late.. though I have seriously felt the impact of not venting on bebo, cuz last nite felt great afterwards... I can't believe how well james is doing and how much he has been thru in the past year... Have fun on your date tomorrow nite!

I thought the pain when they flushed it out and packed it than shoved a wad of gauze in my mouth was the worst pain. did you have to go multiple times to get it packed? glad to hear that james is gaining weight how nice. logan i believe is totally potty trained he has worn big boy pants for over a week including overnight without any accidents

Heidi Monaghan12/31/08yeah i had to work today, i am at work right now actually, so we are not going to hang out with the whole fam like usual. everyone is preggo anyway and no one wants to get crazy, understandably. so nick and i are bar hopping in clawson, so we can both get hammered and then walk home!
