Max Cavalera.
One of the biggest influences to many bands and people today. Hailing from small town Brazil to metal fame in the mid-90s with Sepultura album Roots, Max shows what can be done with passion and belief. Starting his career with brother Igor in 1986 with Sepultura, releasing 6 solid albums, then leaving the band in 1996. Also, in the later years of Sepultura, he collabrated with musician Alex Newport, to form side-project called Nailbomb whom released one album entitled Point Blank. In 1998, Max came back with new band Soulfly, after the death of his step-son Dana (D-Low) in late 1996, it made him feel like never coming back to music and giving up altogether, but has so far released 5 awesome albums with various artists. With his latest record, Dark Ages, giving huge European and American tours, as well as many festival slots, Max Cavalera is a legend on the metal scene.
