This is a shout out to all of those who enjoy the Halloween season. I thought I'd update you on my pre-Halloween weekend.

Thursday: went to a ward party. After walking alone, in the dark (and sufficiently freaking myself out) I was discouraged to see that there were about a dozen people there total. It started out slow but got better. I was doing amazingly well at ping pong (which is a first because I STINK at sports). I think Hunter was getting pretty fed up with me. We frosted cookies, drank apple cider, ate candy corns, and did the typical things you would do at a ward party. I won a 100 Grand candy bar in bingo. This is a big deal because I never win anything (not even the Bronco Booty Drawings in elementary school). Vanessa was happy because I shared it with her. We played a quick game of Curses, but it was not as good as the old times with Julie, Phil, Nate, and Natalie, or with the Show and Chamber.

Friday: This was an interesting day. It was full of ups and downs. I'm going to focus on the good (because that's the way I am...so sue me!). Jeff's friend BJ came up for the weekend from Draper. We went to the Corn Maze. Now the fact that I still get scared even after I've already been to the exact same corn maze amazes even me. The boys found it to be humorous though. Stupid chainsaw dudes anyway! We then sat around wondering what to do. After I was sufficiently tired of making paper frogs, we headed off to the Institute dance--SCREAM. There were tons of people! I listened to Jeff and Zac sing karaoke (because I didn't feel like singing...don't cry my Chamber friends). Jeff and I waited in line for caramel apples. When we got to the front we found there was no more caramel. Instead we tried white chocolate apples. They are actually quite good. The highlight of my night was mocking Jeff because he didn't know what a cake walk was. Where is he from anyway...Mars?

Saturday: So, Jeff, BJ and I were bored out of our minds after buying tickets to the HOWL. We sat and watched football. YAY! Finally, we decided to play some ping pong. To my dismay I didn't do as well as Thursday, but what can you do? Anyway, we played for two hours. I only got hit in the head about 3 times by Jeff with a tennis ball. BJ hit me once or twice too. We left so that I could get ready for the dance. I was a pretty princess (no Connie, I wasn't a witch). We went to the dance early to hear the band Broke. Vanessa is friends with the drummer. They were really good. Then we watched a hypnotist. That was HILARIOUS! Watching people prance around like idiots always does seem to make me happy. We then got drinks and got bored. We headed off and just talked the rest of the night. It was a fun weekend. For those looking to go to college here are some examples of the fun you can have.
