Australia part 4 and NZ part 1
Well Blog,
I was going to write about my travels in OZ and NZ but they now pale in comparison with France 0 Scotland 1. Simply the best result EVER for a Scottish National side. McFadden is a legend and will always be one joining the likes of Archie Gemmill, Kenny Dalgliesh, Joe Jordan, Ally McCoist, Dennis Law, Jim Baxter, Jim Leighton and Gary Caldwell. We are now in the driving seat for qualification and everyone suddenly gets nervous, why? Because we could actually do this! Before the France away game no-one seriously thought we would qualify despite showing real fight and bringing pride back to the nation. Lets not count our chickens though. Seven points and we are there. Must win games against the Ukraine and Georgia and then the "mother of all battles" at Hampden when Italy come a calling. Hope your set for the mother of all parties at your flat Toni.
Imagine actually signing Doe a Deer in Austria at a finals tournament. A week on and still totally buzzing. Lets all hope and pray we can do this, we deserve it.

Australia Part 3
Well Blog,
Another month has past by and hasn't it flown in. In Melbourne just now and feeling the chill although probably still as warm as back home! Less than 4 weeks left in Oz and then off to NZ.
Highlights this month have to be climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge and going to Neighbours night last Monday. Other cool activities include sledging in the Snowy Mountains (yes it does snow in Oz), Zorbing and visiting Nimbin.
Everyone should climb the Harbour Bridge, a bit expensive but a good laugh and amazing views from the top of the coat hanger. Its not like everyone has climbed it (although over 1.5million have). Sledging was minted felt like a big kid again and met a great bunch on the peple on the bus down. Went on a mountain road where we didn't meet another car for 100km.
Reached Melbourne and the main thing to do here is visit. Neighbours night. Yes it was brilliant. Fletch is a legend and I'm now upto date on the latest goss from Ramsey street.
Upcoming events include, the Ramsey street tour, a visit to Philip Island for the penguin parade, the great ocean road and an adventure thru the desert to Ayres rock.
PS Fletch's favourite band is the Kaiser Chiefs.0 Comments 313 weeks

Australia Part 2
G'day Blog
Where did I last leave you? Somewhere south of Cairns I think.
Since then its been a lot of laughs and even more drunken shenanigans. Went to Magnetic Island which was very nice when it wasn't raining, with the backbackers right on the beach. Only negative about that was having to go thru Townsville to get there. The best way to describe Townsville is by comparing it to Grangemouth, no insult intended... well maybe a little. It was just so industrial.
Then onto Airlie beach, the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands. This has to be one of my favourite places in Oz so far even though it was only one street! I think a week here though was beginning to be a bit of overkill. The Whitsundays sailing though was great, white sands of Whitehaven, some proper sailing, acting as pirates and over taking a bar in the middle of nowhere, goon snorkelling, good food and enough drink to sink a battleship.
Fraser Island followed on and had a great time here on the self guided 4x4 adventure from Rainbow beach. Met some great people like the five girls from Ireland, you know who you are, and Jaygo and Tori. Sadly the Dutch and Germans did nothing to improve continental relations. Saw whales from Indian head, the amazing Lake MacKenzie and the cool Lake Wabby, which included streaking from 4 local guys the Dingos nearly got hold of their snags!
Noosa was one big piss up and a trip Australia Zoo. Had a party on the beach one night after being evicted from the hostel for making too much noise with our drinking games. And now I am in Brisbane detoxing... until tomorrow at least and Surfers Paradise.0 Comments 318 weeks
