too many to list. best are: all coens. most scorsese(cut the dreadful 90s(excluding goodfellas from '90s)).most tarantino (cut bits of jackie brown and some claptrap from KB vol.2).indie films generally arent good. however, wait till a film year is done and look back at best couple of year and theyre usually pretty good: brick(2005), lil miss sunshine (2006).speilberg doing war is good. speilberg doing sci fi should be avoided at all costs.chris nolan and peter weir also are favourites: mosquito coast, truman show, memento, insomnia, prestige. comic book films are usually lots of fun: spiderman, superman, batman.as performers i like jim carrey, kevin spacey and in particular most coen regulars: john goodman, holly hunter, frances mcdormand, john tuturro, steve buscemi, peter stormare etc. alot of people have done one off stuff that i like alot e.g punch drunk love. generally, i like most films. but im a coen geek at heart.

one day i will be a jedi and re-build the republic.
