Jinsu was born Jah-Youth (God's child) Lopez in Rhode Island on September 24, 1992. Shortly after learning to speak complete sentences the young versifier in training began reciting the lyrics to his favorite rap songs and before long, he was reciting rhymes of his own.
The bright-eyed prince, was the first of his parents children and quickly recognized for his self sufficiency, incredible memory and jaw dropping ability to communicate early on.

Nicknamed "Jinsu" by his Godfather at age 5 because of his clean from head to toe appearance and sharp as a Ginsu knife rhyme delivery, the optimistic youth enjoyed a pleasant childhood.
When Jinsu turned 8 years old, his world was turned upside down. His mother told him she was going out to a party, and never came back again. Nothing could compare to the sharp pain felt in Jinsu's precious heart after being abandoned by his own mother and the loss of role she played in his life. Confused and hurt by her absence, Jinsu cried in his father's arms for several weeks until he realized his tears wouldn't bring her home. A year went by before she finally called and after hearing her confess to living a life filled with drugs, prostitution and jail Jinsu knew he was better off with his father who had obtained sole custody of him.
Rather than give up on his mother, the memories of her love and the dream he wanted to share with her, Jinsu wiped away his tears and began to strive harder. He even wrote a song for his mother called "Momma" to let her know; "Theres only one man that can walk in you shoesyou were quick with the ice when your boy got a bruiseyou were quick with the Band aids when I got a cut, I love to see your pretty face when Im rippin it up! He still maintains an unshakeable respect for her and looks forward to her occasional phone calls during holidays.

Once Jinsu began winning over young female fans with his teen-idol looks and male fans with his rhyme skills at local talent shows, the buzz spread throughout the East coast. He became such a hot ticket, club owners would sneak him in to perform songs about childhood for mature audiences who loved every rhyme.
While he respects teen hip hop predecessors, Bow Wow, Criss Cross and Lil Romeo, Jinsus thought provoking content and the polish is often compared to that of his favorite emcee, Sean "Jay-Z" Carter. He has the gift to deliver a message that speaks volumes to his generation like that of Tupac Shakur. In a song called "Dear Theo", dedicated to his uncle and best friend Mikey who was shot and killed in 2005, Jinsu expresses "You shoulda left that house and went home, so I wouldnt have to put a flower on your tombstoneEvery time I look at stuff, I see dejavu and every time I see Na/Sean all I see is you".
The energetic 13 year old is fearless! His show stopping stage presence caught the attention of P. Diddy, who brought Jinsu to the stage in Boston where he held his own with the likes of Fabulous and Craig David.
Having rocked audiences across the Northeast while opening a few shows for Method Man and Wu Tang Clan, the young, sharp and ready emcee was perfectly poised to headline Four Kings Productions 2005 Nationwide Unsigned Hype tour with NYs hottest rising talent including Island Def Jam recording artist Chrisette Michelle.
His magnetic charm and undeniable star quality caught the attention of Four Kings during his audition and inspired them to make Jinsu an official member of their royal family. He recently completed songs with J-Kwon, Chris Brown and producer Lil Ronnie, & Swizz Beats.
