Jools has never been in a band before. He lives above his mum's garage. And he hopes we can leave our other bands to play with him.

We only discovered how well he could sing when we thrust him into a closet with a microphone in front of his mouth. We just thought thought he was a male groupiekind of like one of those sad wannabe guys that hangs around with musicians (drummers) (Paulie says ouch)

We recorded the whole thing in one room, one or two days per song (it wouldn't have taken so long, but even though Jools is an inexperienced musician he sees himself as some sort of true genius (diva) and will think nothing of wasting three hours to get one guitar sound to sound EXACTLY the way it does in his head. He writes everything, he commands us to play everything we play...we feel if we let him have his way enough, he'll begin to relax (wait, why do we want to quit our other bands again?)

If we ever make any money, the first thing we want to buy is a live-in psychologist for Jools -- he only sleeps four hours a night and we have to discourage him from self-medicating with children's nurofen and caffeine tablets. Jools has no cultural identity, his parents are the most mixed race people we've ever met in our lives...He's our own little Benetton poster boy

Anyway, it cost us a year's worth of whoring ourselves out with our other bands to afford the studio time for these recordings. We only have about 8 songs, we'll do more when we're not on the road with our other bands...we're all going to blog from the road as much as we can, so youll get some kind of taste from whats going onyou also get a prize if you can guess what other bands were inwell all take you out to eat the only good Mexican food in London (Café Pacifica in Covent Garden free food for the free plug?)

Reese is the bass playerPaulie bangs the drumsJonesy is the guitar playerand obviously Jools is the singerand we actually had another guitar player, Paulie II, but his other band found out and we have actually not seen him since (we hear they make him play behind an amp/screen because of this).
