hmmmmm yeah i might do that next year. i just think that it is a bit of a contradiction in a way. like i feel that it is more of an attention thing than a pride thing if you get me. i will explain. for instance when you come out publicly that shows you are proud as to who and what you are, so that in my opinion is enough. and as you say the homosexuals/transgenders etc are in a minority to the heterosexuals. but it is only an absolute minority of heterosexuals who have a problem with homosexuals, and because of that i think that pride should stop. cos i understand the reason for it when it originally came about. but these days homosexuality is 100% legal, gay marraige is legal. gay adoption is legal. so why is there a need for pride anymore??

you know i have not got a problem if people choose to be gay, straight, eunuchs etc but i can understand that a gay pride festival/march would annoy people as it would need policing, traffic would have to be diverted and so on, so people who live near may feel as if it is an annoyance and as a result it may create a short term level of homophobia amongst the locals who are affected by the event.

the fact of the matter is there will always be more straight people than gay people because that is nature. and unfortunately there will always be a minority who have a disliking for gay people. and because of that now that it is totally acceptable to be gay, i think that there is no need for a pride festival anymore. i can understand why you may feel differently but you have to admit my point is valid no?? xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
