Had a top weekend birthday
Long overdue visit to Ellie road made, partly thanks to Mr Bates reducing the prices to something vaguely near affordable. The lads actually played OK but woeful in either penalty area, can see why in soo much trouble. It was nice to see a victory and quite decent atmosphere
Lounged about a bit on Sunday, few glasses of vino too.
Lots of nice pressies today and thanks to everyone for my cards.

Well finally getting bodyclock somewhere near normal. Went to work (well a drug course in Leicester actually) yesterday [friday] and was quite tired! Holiday was tops. Always cold, mostly snowing, but that's gotta be better than no-snow ala most of Europe.
First day [thurs]- Sunshine - everyone had their snow-heads on and some good skiing. Sharon made it and it was wicked to hear that laugh again and ski-ied far too well for a newby! We had a top day.
Fri & Sat - at Lake Louise - some great green and blue slopes here that everyone did well on. Ang v smooth down the blues and we had fun on Juniper. We did some of the back bowl but it was quite hatrd work. V busy as you'd expect at the weekend. I followed Daniel down Juniper - he showed no mercy and my legs ached! But I think we set a new record.
Sun - back to Sunshine. Re-visited wawa which is short but fun. Ang discovered a new route down and a new blue. Did a couple of runs of Standish, which is pants basically.
Mon - Final day at Louise - oh so cold but the slopes make it worth it. Me and Kim had top morning doing various runs and Frank finished off doing the Juniper twice in style. Daniel, as always, led the way. We revisited the back slopes and did it much more comfortably.
Tues - Final day, boo!!! Sharon & Jon joined us and we separated on the mountain but had a good session together in Trappers! Learnt more about Jon's job and life in Canada - I think I wanna move. Jon's a natural skier but painful fall in the afternoon. Ang discovered the fun of zipping thru the trees and doing a jump! Following Daniel, natch. I think everyone had a good solid, long day ski-ing. Lots of miles and fun without scary runs! We completed a good day with a slap up meal at the very fine 'Toms' - good atmosphere, unpretensious grub.
Weds/Thurs - home. Never much fun but reasonably smooth journey. Missed Macdonalds secret entrance at Gatwick and gutted that misssed a brekky!
Reflections - we all agreed that a day-off ski-ing is probably quite a good idea with everyone feeling a bit tired at some time - wonder if we'll remember that next year?!!

Well I finally got my return done. Fell over with shock ...my business actually did ok-ish but does raise the very annoying fact that tax man now wants some - cheek!! And I ain't got any :-(
