Who'd have thought it when, on October 28th, 1981, drummer Lars Ulrich made guitar player/singer James Hetfield an offer he couldn't refuse: "Ive got a track saved for my band on Brian Slagel's new Metal Blade label."
The truth is, Lars didn't have a band at that time, but he did that day when James joined him. The two recorded their first track on a cheap recorder with James performing singing duties, rhythm guitar duties and bass guitar duties. maybe no were near as popular but musically megadeth wipe the floor with metallica . metallica had a some points were their musical is comparable to megadeths (mainly puppets and ride the lightning ) but i wouldnt class the music of megadeth and metallica in the same league, because anyone with any clue about music would agree megadeth are the better band. and as far as "saint Anger" completely agreeing with you well i lost all respect for his comment when i looked at his name even the most hardcore metallica fan would agree saint anger was a real low point for the band. so james you fuck off and if you have a comeback worth reading i.e not just "fuck off Metallica are far better" i will be glad to read it.
