For all of you who dont know me my names Deirdre...just bought a new portastudio recording system dere a couple of months ago and only figuring out how to use it now!!!......i like to record, sing and play electric guitar....its whether im any good at it is the question.....my influenses are Hard-Fi, (Richard Archer is my idol!!) Snow Patrol, The Clash, Paramore and The Killers......anything else is decent enough too!!

I love indie bands, like Hard-fi--seen them in Olympia--fantastic!, Paramore, Snow patrol--seen them in o2 Dublin-class! the killers and evanesence No Doubht and Sting. i also love Go Audio, kids in glass houses, republic of loose and the Simple plan If i listen to dance music its only Cascada. Also like The Police, Maroon Five, oasis, blur, the verve....and decent stuff...ya know what i mean.....i like to have unique taste in music..if you follow the masses youll never find your own sound...the odd pop song is alright...but if i play it, it becomes indie/punk/alternative rock..u get my drift
Films
dantes peak, school of rock, anger management, Rocky 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Shes the man, Coyote ugly, but mostly i like comedies....Borat is hilarious
Sports
its not that i dont like sports.....its that for as long as i can remember if a football came my way something disasterous always followed...im more into guitar...but then again im shit at that too!!
Scared Of
horror films....some are just messed up and how can an actor actually audition for such sick roles!!
Happiest When
well when im not drinking tea, i like playing my new electric guitar--its a black Nevada. i like playing Move on Now and the bridge riff for Tied up to tight by hard-fi. also like "should i stay or should i go" by the Clash. ---- I also love goin to my favourite restaurant in Edinburgh---Frankie and Benny's, its a New York cicilian style place wit alllll the PIZZA YOU CAN EAT!!!--and believe me!... i can!!
what i cant stand!
Taking the bus home from Glenties on a saturday night...as soon as I get my Toyota Yaris....im driving home...lifts will be available but its gonna cost yas!!

in Dublin at the concert: that buck in coppers who claimed Claire Breislin had his scarf, some guy used the chat up line on claire ' oops i stepped on your shoe, how are you?, the buck wit the scarf was walkin around with a pop and claire was like 'thats so friday nite limelight, and hes not even from ere, and that buk trying to sleep above coppers, who was getting really pissed off

      This is a story that i want to share with you.....because it is so typical of the Irish man..

      My brother Brian went out to melbourne before christmas 2008, and every week himself and his new found green buddys go boozing in a pub he happens to live above called "The Cork Man". One morning when its night his time he called us and said that there was a massive bomb scare outside his pub and that there were 20 squad cars and firetrucks and that it was while funny cos people were running around like mad.......but when we asked him was the pub he was in cleared he said......"well there was about sixty irish bucks in there and we all just ordered a few more pints".....and we asked was he not afraid of the bomb scare and his reply was........."WELL...... SURE WE WERE ALL JUST HAVING THE CRAIC"!!!!!!

      will we ever learn!

      Everyday i seem to find more and more songs that i love and end up trying to learn on guitar..although i cant rock a Gibson like Mick Jones if my life depended on it....here's great music ya wud all want to listen to....

      1. Rock the Casbah - by The Clash...genious song!!
      2. Train in Vain by The Clash - damn nice ta listen to!
      3. Postcards by the Blizzards - Good Quality Tune!
      4. Domino Effect by the Blizzards-great and a true meaning to it!
      5. Mary Caine-Republic of Loose-seen them in Galway and was very impressed...ya cant beat a good quality irish band!
      6. Starfighter Pilot - Snow Patrol--from the first album and its class
      7. Velocity Girl - another great from the fear sneachtas--the first album is one of the best albums!
      and of course all Hard-Fi music and if ya dont like em den yas dont know what yas a missing out on!

      re starting times at the last meeting they said 8 45 or 9 still it wouldnt be a bad idea to suggest either 8 15 or 8 30 think ill throw in that proposal one could always use an excuse to the effect that anyone from our area attending a doctor would find it extremely difficult as both kilcar and carrick surgeries close at 4 worth a try.
