The Season.

Johnathan Sabo found himself starting the 07/08 season fighting to cement a spot in a top order which, in seasons past has proved to b the back bone of the taxes squad.
An underachiever in his debut season Sabo was victim to public scrutiny after failing to deliver a solid knock after blazing a destructive 86 runs on debut, and it was his tendancy to get himself in2 on field drama that slowly dragged him deeper into a string of low totals and poor performances.

After failing to make the Taxes first string pre season training squad he was religated to a 2nd string squad and told 2 remaster his technuiqe and approach to batting. After completing a 3month trial with coaching and managment staff within the taxes club and the backing of captain Ross Grounsell the option was made to include him in the starting line up at the familiar position of 4. After a scratchy 11 runs first game back the heat was again on sabo to deliver a top line knock or face being replaced by M. Cadis, an up and coming middle order batsman. It was the following week where signs of Sabo's class forced the public to admire a courageous 40 runs not out to guide taxes to ther 2nd win of 2 games.

After a media frenzy over leakd training footage of sabo it was made clear that early in his inings he is suseptable to in swinging deliveries as he often plants his front foot in line with the middle stump creating ample chances for lbws.

Facing NZ desi chasing ther 3rd win in as many weeks this rumour was confirmed and sabo was quickly back on the bank with 0 runs to his name.
In a public statement from Grounsell after the match sabos future was made clear ross claiming " the selectors have lost faith and will now seriously consider cadis as an option vs post this week"

As it turned out sabo again was given the benefit of his impressive record at age grade level.

Finaly on the 17 of november sabo deliverd the performance of a life time vs arch rivals Post & Telephone, dominating a full stregnth bowling attack he blazed his way to 99 off 73 balls. unfortunatli the 100 never came with wat many people r calling an act of sheer arogance attempting to blast P. Cody through mid wiket wen a single was the most sensible option.

with sabo now looking back to his best taxes wer in dominating form with both the bat and ball, leading the competition it would be ther match up with the highly controversial Excell that wuld confirm them a place in the first round finals. With taxes under pressure earli on and down a man due 2 issues with player availablity sabo again stepd in2 the power role dominating the inings and keeping the run chase alive. howeva it was short lived success and he was eventuali dismissed for a solid 59 runs off 44 balls. A power hitting display by M. Godfrey was still not enough and taxes wer put 2 the slaughter leaving ther hopes of a final lying in the two remaining matches.

Tulsi took taxes to the limit and gave sabo a chilling reminder that he was still easily rattled by verbal confintation which had seen him fail in the past. it wuldnt be his day and again he wuld fail 2 deliver any runs being hopelesy caught at a deepish mid on by M. Sami for 6. luckily the inings was saved by a fleet footed M. Brooky launching himself to an unbeatn 52 runs. the match was eventuali won with sabo again performing in the field taking to improtant catches which hurt the Tulsi line up leaving them short of a low total.

kumin in2 the final match of pool play Wisc Gold wer dead set last on the points table and taxes wer heavy favourites to dominate on a flat track. Howeva again taxes wuld be undone dispite anotha bone crunching 50 runs of 40 balls by star number 4 J. Sabo.

With on field drama and numerous complaints it was a judgement call made by the leagues elite panel to eliminate Excell from the competition granting Taxes a life line and seeing them matched against Post & Telephone in the first round final.

THE WEEKEND REVIEW... hahaha.

Friday proved tough after a long drive from the big smoke after wellington decided to have a storm so all planes will be cancelled, but i shon my light bright and travelled through the darkness to the safety of familiar lands haha. I still say travelling by ship is the best way to go, my fellow tower's will look out for me on the points haha .

This then made friday a joke so martinez and i decided to drive past where one G.C was working, we pulled up and saw nothing but a front yard, we speculated as to if there was actually a house one site, then after a short discussion we see a tiny little house down the back, obviously no mansion just a oversiized front yard haha.

Now i can't actually say much as to what you done this weekend cause i actually never saw the GC in flight but from what i hear you had an eventful weekend haha..

1. Friday night you have cricket pizegiving, only attended because you were the highest run scorer in the leauge .... but then you decided to go and dominate town by yourself. Come on GC i know your a party goer but thats just rediculous haha. I then go on to hear that you didnt just dominate but you stayed in town all night long and decided to drive home the next morning haha. I betr the bank balance took a good punch in the stomach after that night haha.

2. Saturday, expecting to see GC at ma rugby his cape obviously got torn and was unable to fly. But he never fails to perform, i get a txt from him saying "You Win?" nothing else haha.. The reply was sent and we were in for a big night. Later in the evening i get a phone call Tower can you drive us to town? What kind of question is this GC we won for god sakes haha.
Town was then upon us sending the txt to meet GC as there was talk all week of him dominating SuperClub hahha. But no txt was recieved back haha, this only meant one thing, either Tower was too pissed and never actually sent the txt hahha or he did but rumour became fact and GC ... did rip up SuperClub haha.

You know the drill big guy, you gonna have to fill half this one in yourself as i dont actually know how your night ended up.
