I read one of the most uplifting sentences tonight that I've seen in a long, long time: "There's no end to the ways we can help one another out."



5 things I do that annoy the hell out of Neelix:

I'm always injuring myself in some way, shape, or form.

I nag him about taking his pills and about how much he physically exerts himself.

I'm afraid of stinging insects and will go to great lengths to avoid them or kill them.

I refuse to go to a doctor unless I'm actually knocking on death's door.

He hates it when I'm right... and told him before the fact that whatever he wanted to do wouldn't work.



5 things Neelix does that annoy the hell out of me:

He gets hysterical over little things... which causes me to get hysterical.

He's always trying to do things that he knows damn good & well he shouldn't be doing.

No matter how many times I explain something to him, I've always gotta do it again.

He'll use any room in the house as a dirty clothes hamper.

The goddamned television is on 24/7. The only time I get a break from it is when he's at work or asleep.



5 things that I absolutely love about Neelix:

He's brutally honest about everything, no matter how unpleasant.

He cares how I feel and what I think.

He patiently & sympathetically listens to me bitch & complain... even if he knows it's my own damn fault.

He's loyal & trustworthy, and will stop at nothing to help me if I really need it.

He makes a damn good pot of coffee.



5 things that Neelix says he absolutely loves about me:

I make a damn good pot of spaghetti.

I care how he feels and what he thinks.

I patiently & sympathetically listen to him bitch & complain... even if I know it's his own damn fault.

I do my best to take care of him and help him in whatever way possible.

I'm the only person who truly understands who he is and what he's going through/has been through.

At least, that's what my Gramma used to say, when it came to bill collectors.
Tomorrow morning at 9AM sharp is Neelix's Creditor's meeting for his bankruptcy.
We're dreading it.
I just know there's gonna be some kind of problem, either with the paperwork I did or something.
We're both praying that nobody shows up but us.
The only reason any of them would show up is to protest the discharge of their debt.
If so, I dunno what in the hell they would want as payment.
We don't have anything of value left.

That seems like the ultimate insult to me: if a creditor decides that you have something of value that can be sold to recover a debt you owe, then the Trustee will demand that you hand it over. They'll auction it off, and you have the opportunity to go to the Trustee sale to bid on..... your own stuff.

You've already paid for it once; now if you wanna keep it, you've gotta out-bid some damn guy from Texas with a wallet big enough to choke a horse for it.

I dunno; that just seems insulting to me.

Have you seen that scene in "The Incredibles" where Bob & Helen are driving like maniacs, trying to get into the city where the robot is?

Yeah; that's me & Neelix, trying to find a parking spot in Richmond tomorrow. (snicker)

Oh, and that town meeting about the gas tax has been moved to the 21st. I haven't seen it, but the tape of the first meeting where Neelix talked has been playing on local cable channels here.
