I prefer action and some sci-fi horror, but largely space opera.
my all-time favourite movie so far is probably Doctor Who although starwars episode 3 comes pretty high.

Computer Games
I play therefore I win. 1st rule, Rowan always wins...eventually. I'm very persistant. haven't beaten Mr Bateman at Chess yet though.

Mostly I play computer games. Computer games are broadly categorised into First person shooters (FPS's), Real Time Strategy Games (RTS's) and other, eg third person and turn based games.

FPS's: I play Halo, Half life series, Doom series and especially Battlefield series, Really Really waiting for Battlefield 2142 coming out in october so if anyone wants to get me a birthday gift, thats the one.

RTS's I play loads of these, Age of Empires, C&C series, Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War. Black and White 2, Emperor; Battle for Dune and so on.

in other, Splinter Cell series, not much else.

to be honest, I do play computer games too much. but only when I don't have more important things to do, like school work or chores.
Warhammer 40,000
I'm not Rabid like Matt Coleman, don't give him the idea that you're interested in warhammer unless you're prepared to discuss it every moment you spend in his presence.
that said, I happen to be the second biggest authority on the subject in school, and the safer option. I collect Two primary armies and dabble in others. My armies are the Tau, Mostly a display army though I do use them sometimes. and the necrons these guys are my heavy hitting marine eaters. anything slow moving is absolutly toast against them, trouble being that most armies I fight move too damn fast. ah well.

I have over 260 individual models. $/£800 of plastic and white metal, before anyone asks, I could, and probably will sell one or another of my armies. probably at a profit so its not really a waste.
Mostly I no longer create actual gaming pieces, prefering instead to create small dioramas depicting my Tau doing unlikely things, eg winning at close quarters fighting.

    • Approaching Christmas again

      well, here we are, nearly a year on :P
      things have changed a bit since last, I got a Job, a washer-upper in the local pub, easy enough work, if a bit much of it. I do Fridays and Saturdays cause I was a fool and said I didn't really mind what day I worked. oh well. I get payed more for weekends :P
      as a plus, I'm now more or less able to do what I like cause the money's rolling in.
      Work is hard, still. most of it's easy enough though. just grasped trig functions in Maths so things are going well there. DT is kinda cool as I'm the furthest along on my physical project and getting decent marks on my work.
      Art is going well, I've picked up chalk and discovered I have a natural aptitude for it. having never used it previously I've now produced most of a portfolio in a matter of weeks.
      on another note, my parents seem to have given up on the budgeting idea. so I'm working on my own system :P I just don't spend more than I earn. so my money will always go up.
      I'm working to get a drivers licence soon, shouldn't be hard to pass cause I'd already completed my course in the USA. I just need to get used to driving on the other side and using a manual gear-shift.

      Christmas Holiday now, feels like a very long weekend...its almost a week in and I haven't done any of my work...I feel a bit of an idiot since I have an exam in january...damn.

      Apparently the christmas gift from my parents got sent to america...I should get it a week or so late....Shucks.
      Still working on my budget... I hate my budget...

      ah well...
      hopefully christmas itself will prove more enjoyable.

      well...sixth form has been an incredibly hard experience up until, well..today. I don't know how its different, but I don't feel like physics is so hard anymore. I think its because I finally got on top of my homework.

      My budgeting (my mum has instituted new rules about my pocket money) continues to be hard however. I am avoiding spending...its difficult. I hope to get a job sometime soon so that my budget can increase, giving me a little more lee-way.

      Christmas Dance coming up, I don't know if I want to go, if I do, I want to take someone. otherwise its going to be boring for me, before anyone tells me I don't know that for certain, I have a fair guess that it will be, I'm not into parties unless I'm with one particular person.

      I continue to feel a pariah. (for those without my wierd vocabulary, a pariah is an outcast, unclean or unwanted) I'm kind of suffering from simply not having any real relief from school. hopefully the christmas holiday will cure that.
      just at the moment, most of my respite comes from computer games, they let me shut out the world completely so I don't feel any of the normal stress. and people say I play games too much...I don't have Time to do that.

      I have a costume party I'm going to in early december, I'm working on my costume for that, should be good. sorta black shadow, better than it was in school, hopefully the addition of a tabard should reduce the crap I get about the 'close fit'. honestly, I think that people will seize any opportunity to be annoying. I know full well how 'revealing' that costume is, no more so than a pair of trousers. I tink it was a load of hype from my attempts to describe it to prospective sponsors. ah well..
