  • I'm leeeeeeeeeeavin, on a jetplane......

    Well the time has come.... the sleeps have all been counted down. I'm off to Nationals in 5 more hours :D :D :D :D

    Yes, only 5 more hours until we drive to Terrace, take the plane to Vancouver, and then meet up with the rest of the guys and girls that make up Team BC. We fly out bright and early (7am) Monday, and by the time we get settled into the hotel in Sudbury, it will be 7pm and time to go to dinner!

    We have most of the day Tuesday to relax, and practice, the Opening Ceremonies Tuesday night, and then all the bowling gets underway Wednesday morning. I'll be bowling 7 games each day for singles, and 8, 7, and 8 each day for the team :S HOLY SHEEP THAT'S A LOT OF BOWLING!!!

    I'm kinda glad my body has learned to function on less sleep.... cuz there won't be a lot of sleeping happening in Sudbury :P :P :P The rest of the people that make up Team BC are hilarious to hang out with, so I plan to socialize pretty much the whole time I'm there :D

    Anyways, wish me luck... I'll sure as heck need it to get through 43 games and still stand afterwards :D I'll leave updates if I can :D

  • 2007 BC Open Provincials

    Well well well... what an interesting weekend. A HUGE bowling tournament in Rupert? Yes, it's possible, and went off without major problems. PHEW! Everyone seemed to have a good time, and we got lots of compliments about everything! Really stoked about that.

    Best part of it all...... I'M GOING TO NATIONALS AGAIN!!! w00000000000 Our Northwest Ladies team duked it out twice in the stepladder with a great group of chickies from the Fraser Valley South, edging them out in the finals by only 30 pins.

    I was also in the Singles step-ladder for the very first time, as I ended up in 3rd place after the 10 game prelim round. I had to throw 3 matches against the 4th place finisher, 2nd, and 1stm and DUN DUN DUN, I won all 3 :D So that means I have to bowl in 2 events at Nationals..... 44 games = an average of 15 games a day for the prelim rounds :( I'm sore enough now after bowling 27 games in 3 days this weekend..... 44 is going to be a killer!! It's a good thing I'll have a personal masseuse there, ;) I'll definately need it. :D

    So I'm starting the countdown now.... 48 more sleeps :D
