Honestly, the highs were amazing but the lows were heartbreaking. All in all, I'm glad to put this year behind me, or at least forget all the low bits and the people that ruined it.

We got to the travel lodge on Sunday afternoon only to discover that Bullets support act Skindred were stayin a few doors along from us, we put a note under their door saying hi.

We went to the gig, met all of Skindred, then met all of Still Remains. Got pictures with them and autographs.

Got back to the travel lodge and bumped into Skindreds tour manager, him and some of the band joined us in our room for a mini-party until 7am. Mike from Skindred was chatting to me about his amazing tattoo sleeve.

Then Toad, thier manager (also been tour manager for Metallica, Slipknot, Stone Sour, and has been asked to be a manager for Download this year), was like "Oh, you're going to the Kerrang tour tomorrow night? My mate is Madina Lakes manager, I'll ask him if you can have backstage passes"

So, we phoned Madina Lakes manager, Lee. And Rachael chatted to Matthew from Madina Lake on the phone.

The next day, Lee gave us the ok for coming backstage and we met him outside the venue. Sold our tickets for £20 each since we didn't need them because we were on the guest list.

Went inside and hung out wih Madina for 30 minutes before we headed off to see Fightstar preform. Got a Madina Lake guitar pic, pictures with each band member and autographs all round.

Went and bought t-shirts with the £20 that we'd sold our tickets for.

Met Lee again after Madina had played their set, and went for a look around the Madina Lake/Fightstar tour bus. Bumped into Omar (Fightstar drummer) chilling on the bus and said hello (also said how much I love the band .

Were gonna stick around to say bye to the band after they'd packed all their gear up but had to head and get home coz we both had work early the next day

A pretty damn amazing weekend
