Protests.

You know what I hate.

What I hate more than anything in the world.

Protestors.

Especially when it comes to military conflicts.

The current conflict thats hitting big news is the Gaza-Israeli action.

Okay so... Gaza shoots rockets and mortar rounds at Israel. Israel responds with military action. Why is everyone so shocked and appalled?

Gaza smacks Israel with a stick.
Israel smacks back with a big metal shovel.

Protestors forget the fact that Hamas isn't helping. Everyone is attacking Israel, stating that their actions are appalling. And in the course of telling the world that they dont like what Israel is doing, they annoy innocent israeli citizens who live here, who have travelled here or are just mucking around.

Its tantamount to racism.

The protester said, "Oh hai, Your country is doing defending itsself against missle attacks, you suck! Go back home!"
The Israeli looks back with a small what the fuck look.

Think about it NZ. If NZ was under missle attacks from Australia, dont you think we would retaliate (>.> yah right.).

Protestors, I understand your right to want to voice your opinion of dislike for a particular action a person/organisation/government has done. But dont be fucking jerks about it.

Vietnam.

Soldiers returned home to violent little hippies. Who spat at them, who told them they were shit. Giving them all kinds of abuse. Soldiers who had no choice but go to war, because their country told them to. Sure some soldiers broke the law. But the army as a whole was not at fault.

They didn't deserve it. If you have issues with actions of a government, please take it up with the specific government. Not with the citizens of the nation who's action you disagree with.

So in summary:

You shoot shit at a country with a bigger military response than you, you are an idiot.
You hide behind civilians then your using them as meat shields. Dont expect mercy from me.
Protesters, protest the action through governments, not through women playing tennis.
Vietnam war veterens always deserve respect. On both sides. They did what they were told to do. Dont give them shit for it.

(Ps. For all those who say 'If they told you to jump off a bridge, would you?' I'd reply with, "Sir, that is a waste of my talents so I refuse.". If he shoots me then and there then I'd have no retort considering the fact that death has a perminant feature of preventing speech, SO STFU.)
