What is forever?

Forever used to mean a lot
You wouldn’t say it to just anyone
But I suppose times do change
And the meaning of words along with it
Now you hear ‘I’ve been waiting forever’
From the young child who has waited a whole 5 minutes
Then there’s the love sick teen who says ‘ill love you forever’
Or rather until they find someone cuter
Maybe forever is simply a state of mind
I’m sure for the child 5 minutes was a long time
And the teen probably thought they meant forever
But the simple fact remains
Nothing lasts forever
As trees burn
And fires dwindle
And the ashes blow away
So if forever is a state of mine …
…and only the feeling of a long time…
I don’t love you forever
I love you till the day I die


What is a lie?

A lie a fib what ever you call it
A lie is a lie … right?
Is a lie still a lie if you don’t know your lying?
If not what is a lie you don’t know your telling?
Do lies really exist or is it all how you perceive the truth
If someone truly believes they’re innocent …
And yet murdered someone while sleep walking
Are they lying when they say … ‘I didn’t do it’
Can your subconscious lie to you?
If it can I wish mine would lie to me
And tell me I don’t love you the way I do…
Or if that doesn’t work
You lie to me …
And tell me you love me
… One last time
