- Me, Myself, and I
- Born in Maidstone and have lived here all my life. Went to St Michaels Infant and Junior School and then to Oakwood Park Grammar School. Left school for good last year after year 13 and i'm currently working full-time at the DVLA. Like to go out and relax around town, hitting a few pubs and partaking in some pub sports (pool, darts etc). Enjoy playing and watching an array of sports and playing Xbox360, whilst also probably spending far to much time online.

I enjoy playing some sports such as football, darts, pool and snooker. I also watch a bit of Rugby League, support Wigan Warriors and have recently started going to a few Harlequins RL matches.

Manchester, 9th April
Early on Sunday morning (6.20am roughly) i arrived at Maidstone East station, shortly to be followed by Paul, Bowles, God, Andy and Christian. We were there for the 6.42am train to Charing Cross which arrived on time. The first major episode of the day involved the train leaving and Paul exclaiming he had left his £200+ digital camera on the platform (what a prick!). A short phone call later to a call centre in Bombay and a link to Maidstone East phone line and the camera was deemed to be safely collected by a station worker. The journey took roughly 1 hour but hit may snags, firstly there was a lenghty stop at New Cross station when signal works stopped trains moving, and following a lengthy stop at London Bridge we decided to vacate the train there and tube it to London Victoria (which cost us an extra £3).
On arrival at Victoria station we had time to buy some papers/magazines/and in some cases fags and made the coach with around 15 mins to spare. The coach journey was particuarly boring with 3 of us (me, God and Andy) seated downstairs and Paul, Bowles and Christian securing seats upstairs. 2 hours in and we stopped off at Coventry services where i had some good fortune on a fruit machine coming out even and Paul having rotten luck on the very same machine, coming out many £££ down. Another 2 hours or so later and we reached Chorlton Street in Manchester, with the difficult taks of trying to find the Travelodge ensuing. Thankfully we found a taxi driver who was willing to fill his own pockets with £10 to take us straight there. A short checking in and bag dumping period later and we were off.
Not particuarly knowing where we were we headed for a tram stop, bought some tickets and set off towards Old Trafford. Arriving at the station around 3pm we had a 10-15 minute walk (past the cricket ground) until we reached the hub area of the shop, chippy and bookmakers. A food break ensued with chips the dish of the day with various side option, mainly sauages and gravy (with a couple of cans of San Miguel to wash it down). As it reached 3.30pm we headed for the ground, bought a programme and went to the turnstyles (and left Bowles to be seated with the scum fans).
On arrival at our seats we took a few pictures, took in the atmosphere until the teams were read over the PA system, and much to our suprise there was a big name missing, this being "Number 14...Thierry Henry" and this was the first in a longl line of good bits of news. By 4pm the game was emminent and thankfuly the brass band had long since finished playing their little set. The game started and the first 40 mins or so were fast flowing but lacking in the final third of the field. After 40 mins however the game really got going and for United a superb save by makeshift keeper Kolo Toure kept the score at 0-0 going into the break.
The second half started much better for United who looked by far the better team, and after a small slip by Lehmann down the side of the pitch, much to the amusement of the biggest crowd for a United game at Old Trafford in 86 years, Wayne Rooney began to take control. Some 10 mins into the second half and the deadlock was broken by Rooney and as soon as he got the ball not one person in the ground expected anything other than the net to bulge. The next 20 mins continued to be all about United, except for Adebayor's snap shot and van Persie's comical stack, and after 75 mins the game was all over as that man Rooney made a fool of Senderos and set up Park for his 1st Premiership goal. The next 15 mins were all about taunting the Arsenal fans with my particular favourite chant coming in the dying minutes as the Old Trafford faithful began chanting "so fucking easy...this game is so fucking easy...SO FUCKING EASY!!".
On leaving the ground we met up with Bowles, bought some cans, and decided to wait for an hour or so in the hope the tram would be more accessible. A brief encounter with a Sikh ice-cream man, who swapped a1 Comment 380 weeks
