The Future of the Quads In a Post-Everything Society: A Discussion Forum for New Action
The first incarnation of the Quads exploded with a blaze of glory in the spiritual home of Donegal trad, the Rusty in Teelin, in May 2007. Some compared it to the Stooges' final show in the Michigan Palace in 1974, but they were told to shut up. Nonetheless, what followed this eruption was a meltdown in the collective psyche of one of the most creative groups in the history of carbohydrate rock (as it was never known). The individual Quads have gone on to entertain wild delusions of stable domesticity, steady incomes and further education. Now, scattered to the four winds, what can they hope to contribute to a world where oil prices rocket, lifestyles are cut back and Donegal are kind of still okay but maybe not as great as we thought they were (Giovanni Trapattoni's words, honestly).
