- Many years ago a guy named Ben decided it was time to get together with his buddy and play some music. It was not spectacular, just a bunch of ideas he had been collecting over a few years he lived alone in the world. Mostly written while lonely, struggling, finding, being. His friend decided that this was worth playing again. They got together on occasion and played until they were tired. Time passed, and Ben got a real job and began working dilligently to support his ever burgeoning commercial lifestyle; living in the moment, paying for the toys and the image and the future. Mike too got a "real" job and for years played occasionally with a variety of different people. For 2 years Ben didn't even touch a guitar, didn't write a song or a poem, just worked at his job and various side projects, believing that the pursuit of these things would make him happy. It wasn't until he found out he was going to be a father that he was confronted with his own mortality. It occurred to him that one day he would be old and would never have pursued his dream. Based on all of this he bought a guitar and invited Mike to a chalet he was living in on the Thames River at the time. After hours of playing and singing at levels loud enough to wake the beavers 3 miles away Ben realized what made him feel alive. From that day forward he never looked back and began collecting equipment and musical friends and dreaming of the day he would record an album. Over the last 2 years different musicians have come and gone but the two who have remained are Ben and Mike. And just recently Ben completed his dream and finished a 6 song CD in his house. The two of them are now embarking on a journey to discover if they have what it takes to be a successful Canadian Rock Band.
