- In feb 2006 I released a cd selling 500 copies in about 8moths or so which helped raise money for projects in africa eg)building a house in malawi it also raised my funds to go out that summer to swaziland for 2 weeks. From the release of "open skies" I have played accross ireland/n.ireland in portadown, richill, enniskillen, belfast, in churches, coffee bars, music venues.Having sold out fairly quickly the CD was re-released just this year.I was offered a recording contract in June 2007 which I turned down to study at Bible college full time. I thought my music had come to an end, but that was not the case. I had a lot of interest hence the CD re-release and got playing quite a number of gigs. I have also met some budding musicians and made contact with some studios with the hope of recording and hitting the music scene once again with more gigs and recordings. This could take a while though, as full time study is taking up most of my time right now

U105, Album of the Week! 9/10
Cross Rhythms, Featured Artist Reviewed by Emily Aldred. 8/10
This is an eclectic debut EP from a Scottish singer/songwriter. The opening track "Call On You" boasts distinctively poppy guitar riffs and drum fills, before the album moves into a more country and folk sound with "Love You Lord". One of the most beautiful songs on the album is "Immanuel" that speaks of our dependence on Jesus and his sovereign power. Baker's vocals are sincere and pure while his lyrics are based on Scripture. He says that issues such as poverty and injustice influence his music, and this is most clear in "Your Eyes" and "Build Your Kingdom". The acoustic guitar part in the former is a clear highlight of the album, as are the stunning backing vocals. Most of the tracks on the album would work as congregational song and overall this is a pretty strong album.
Shine Fm , Featured Artist “a fresh artist who should make a big impact on the local Christian music scene in 2010.”
Robin Mark – “I admire your heart for social justice and poverty action. I briefly listened to your tracks, they sound really good. Well done.”

It is cold in Glasgow, wet and miserable. I have just been doing some exams and assignments over late November, early December. Its been pretty busy for me. I hope that all of you who have been doing exams have worked hard and can now relax, and as some of you approach a short break at Christmas that you get well rested. Thanks for all of your support guys and gals! Now to mention a few things.
Christmas is coming
I am giving away an MP3 if Immanuel (acoustic version) as a Christmas present to everyone. I think this song is powerful, it really means a lot to me. Listen to “Immanuel”, it’s in a chart for eternal radio’s Christmas song contest. It has also been the song with most airplay and has been featured on eternal radio, and U105.
I wish you all a merry Christmas, please take a few minutes to think about Christ this Christmas.

Hi guys and gals.
The past load of gigs have been great, bonnie Scotland is treating me well with gigs. However it is exam time and I am not taking anything on at the minute at least until Jan/Feb. I am doing the gig in Newtownards, Streat Cafe, 29th Dec. Tickets are £4 each. Andi Oakes joining me for that night too. Got plenty of tickets so please go on and buy one from my website if you would like to come or contact Pauline Baker (my mum) directly if you can or by emailing me. That gig will be fantastic, with a great atmosphere the Streat Cafe will be serving too, and some great music, well worth £4, a night out just after Christmas.
I have some gigs planned for February, some still to be confirmed for N.I and the mainland UK.
Radio stuff is fantastic, I just caught some of my music on Sunday night on Cross Rhythms @11PM, due t be aired again this Sunday same time.
This thursday at 6.15pm I will be on the air for an interview, with Mike Rimmer, www.crossrhythms.co.uk
My U105 review (9/10 - album of the week) is available on the media section of the website and on www.myspace.com/treeoflifeadam
Cross Rhythms review also viewable on my website, and on theirs if yo look me up or search in google. 8/10.
Im loving these reviews, especially when I see the honesty of Cross Rhythms when they have reviewed other indie and signed artists.
God is doing great things through the CD so far, and at the gigs too. i recently was doing a gig at a church and spoke to about God’s concern for justice, it was a really great time. i have also been bale to share with some young people in the borders songs and a few words telling them of their worth in God’s eyes.
Bring on more gigs!!! And of course do if you have not yet buy a cd, for only £10. They make great christmas presents for mum, dad, granny, granda, brother, sister, aunty, uncle, friends and teachers.
can you help me in some way get heard, get some gigs, sell more cd’s or anything really, well then just contact, email@example.com
peace and love
