Tired

My mind stands still, my thought shuts down.
And I'm tired. Oh so tired.
The silence of my world's so loud,
There's no passion without fire.

And I'm tired.

Of life unable to breathe.
The wings of our dreams are wired
To the ground; they'll never leave.

Sometimes when I see my reflection
I wish the glass would break.
But every morning my resurrection
Brings a new day to fake.
I look deep down inside
And don't even know myself.
Can't count how long I've cried
'Cos I've still got my health.

All around me, wearing grey
Faceless, voiceless souls
Mime through another day.
Our perception's filled with holes.
Take my hand and guide me,
I've given up on emotion.
We have never in our lives been free,
We just go through the motions.

And I'm tired,

If I'd died today,
Would tomorrow have been changed?
In my coffin I would lay,
While the world carried on just the same.
The things I do mean nothing!
Life sees us as Her slaves.
And all of us are suffering!
Life inside the grave.

There is no light or meaning!
No matter where we look.
Our whole live's, we're just reading!
From the same page of the book.
I cry out, because I'm falling!
Into the emptiness of my life.
Deep within, my heart is calling!
For the release of bullet or knife.

Cos I'm tired.

My eyes begin to burn,
And my teardrops turn to stone.
The individual has to learn...
That they're just another clone.
I try to tell you what I've found!
But my voice falls dead.

And finally I'm at peace.
My soul dispersed amongst the emptiness,
To float 'til the end of time.
The closest thing I've felt to happiness:
Freedom from Life's line.
