- BoxSet are currently a 3 piece from the Black Isle and Inverness. The line up consists of: Andrew McDonald on Guitars and Vocals, Ian Boyer on Bass and Backing Vocals, Patrick Boyer on drums. The main focus of the band has always been to play and record original material. Some of the music that is put up features the full band line-up, whereas some of the demos have been done by me (Smally) at home.
What we want to achieve with our music is to write good songs, that hopefully sound refreshing. One thing I'm always working on is lyrics and trying to write using different perspectives, techniques and ideas. We're also strong believers in keeping material fresh so our output is pretty high (I like to write at least one song per week) and I don't like to rely on the songs I've already got too much.
I don't want to hype us up too much as theres already enough pretentiousness in the music. I take a lot of pride in my songwriting so please give up some time and listen to a few songs.

Dressing Up & Full Band Demo now added.
Thats two more collected demo albums i've put up. As you can see we have a lot of material, but no gigs. If anyone is in need of a support slot drop me a comment. Sadly we do expect to be paid as although we love playing gigs, I feel that free music online is fair enough, but as soon as bands start offering to play for free all the time, in the end its only the venue that benefits and we all end up playing on a tuesday night to 5 people.0 Comments 367 weeks

Autumn Has Come!
I urge everyone to listen to the song Autumn Has Come. I wrote it on a balalaika given to me by an amazing friend in Russia. I really love this song, its part of the new project I'm working on, currently named "2006". Because some of the styles are really varied on it I'm not sure how to present it and I'm having some trouble deciding when enough is enough.
