Aah... Privacy at last.
My plan has worked and it seems we are alone...
And so I summon all my energy and scream into the void; releasing my hopes and dreams, insecurities and fears. Magnifying my wishes, revealing my desires to the universe, so that the universe may provide.
Lately I've been giving lots of money to charity, buskers, younger siblings, whoever's asking, looking for some financial karma to come back my way.
It occurs to me that my plans for my life were waylaid by a certain handsome young fellow with a bright smile and I can no longer live the carefree, abundant single life that I was living before. Kids are expensive.
So I need a new plan. Which is fine, I like making plans; it opens me up to the possibilities of life again. And even now, with arguably less flexibility in my life, there are still possibilities. So I am looking forward to making a new plan and then Tim Gunn-ing it.0 Comments 95 weeks

99 Weeks Later...
I decided Facebook sucks ass and everyone should come back to bebo! I mean I decided that ages ago but it took me this long to find my way back.
So, all you imaginary people out there who have also probably not looked at this site in 99 weeks, let me tell you what I've been up to.
Left my job in October 2009 to look after my gorgeous nephew Maui, who comes with plenty of baggage and his own unique brand of challenges, but is beautiful and happy and makes me smile every day.
My days are spent chauffeuring him around to his various activities, play groups, doctors appointments, physios, speech language therapists, horse riding, etc etc. and the never ending paperwork that comes with special little guys like him. We are also looking forward to months of surgeries and body casts and even more months and years of therapy after that, probably for his whole life really.
No, I don't have a life of my own. And due to certain strained family dynamics I don't know if I will be doing this for a year or five or fifteen or thirty and frankly that makes it really hard to plan for the future. (Certain people in the middle of the Australian desert should think themselves lucky for being,... well... not here.)
In a couple of weeks I'll be moving,... down the road... next door to mums...
I have mixed feelings about this, but at least there will be more space and slightly better facilities for looking after Maui. On the other hand I'll be next door to mums, and this may be inviting too many unwanted visitors...
...Sometimes I still dare to dream... aah to win the lottery...
...Sometimes I find myself crying in the middle of the supermarket when confronted by an old friend who only wants to know how things are going.
And I only went in for some chicken schnitzel.
I know it's not like me to complain and normally I wouldn't share so easily, but I figure I might as well speak freely now feeling safe in the knowledge that no matter what I say hardly anyone will ever see this. Because they'e all on facebook. Losers!0 Comments 96 weeks

I stole the baby!
Brought Maui home for a visit with all the uncles and aunties today. He is so gorgeous! Can't wait til I can do it again - won't be too long before he's with us full time.
