Well I did it!! Something I've been afraid of doing (for some unknown reason) and that's becoming a student again. I have finally applied for a course at Tafe!! If my application is successful I will be doing Cert. II in Business and Cert. III in Business Administration.
I originally just wanted to do Cert. III but a pre-requisite was to have satisfactorily completed Cert. II.
Each course runs for 6 months full time which will probably mean some sort of child care for Lachlan before and/or after school, which the school he goes to offers (at a price of course). Will sort that out when I find out if i have been accepted (fingers crossed for me) and hopefully at Frankston campus (so then Brogie and I can have lunch together on a Wednesday.... sorry Broges had to say it ).

Anywho, Hopefully I will find out next week if I am successful, will keep you posted. Then all I have to do is pay for it.

Lachie has had a HUGE week this last week. On Monday he was awarded with a certificate for learning all his RED level words! He's now upto the BLUE level words. Tuesday morning he informs me that he has also gone up a level in his readers and is now picking books from the "Yellow star box". THEN..... Wednesday afternoon when I picked him up from school his teacher informs me that Lachlan got "Student of the Week"!!!!!!! (for confidence and persistance in his reading) Oh I was so proud!!

On Thursday afternoon, Lachlan was presented with a certificate in front of the whole school at assembly. I was there with my camera and will post the photo's as soon as I have them.

He was also very proud of his efforts and walked around his chest puffed out and his head (which grew to the size of the MCG) held high, and he had every right to. He has worked hard and deserves the recognition, even if it meant I had a lil smartass of a son for a few days.....
