You know you are from Jersey when...

1. Flip Flops are still acceptable in Mid November

2. You Know that liquid and envy are in the same place, but are completely different

3. You consider travelling from the east to the west as a pain in the ass.

4. In the summer conversations go like this: 'shall we go surfing, or wakeboarding, or go to the beach?"

5. There is a 10 minute debate to decide which beach

6. Nights out are: Wednesday- Mint/Platnium, Friday- Splash for Open mike, Saturday-Liquid (scrap that last one)

7. A five minute hustle down King Street takes half an hour because you have to stop and chat to every other person

8. When you set off down King Street you were on your own, now there are 4 of you

9. Working for two weeks in the summer is such a drag

10. Whilst at university you keep looking longingly at pictures you took over the summer

11. You appreciate Jersey so much more now that you have gone to university

12. You know your Jersey speech word by word so that when someone you have just met at uni asks you about Jersey you don’t have to waist time thinking about it

13. You HAVE gone cow tipping

14. It WAS fun

15. You DID step in cow shit

16. You understand that Battle of Britain is best watched from a boat, but the avenue is still ok

18. Even when you have loads of uni work the offer of comming home for the weekend by your parents is ALWAYS taken up

19. Jersey milk is better. Period. Everything else just tastes wrong

20. 'Ahh Hell me Boy' is an acceptible phrase for any situtation

21. But while using it outside of Jersey people look at you funny

22. Guernsey is inferior. fact

23. You know that London is good for shopping and that’s about it

24. You refuse to wear a jacket/jumper when flying back to uni in the vain hope that it will be sunny in England

25. You were wrong about it being sunny, you are bloody cold

26. You consider it normal that you should phone your order into pizza express while out in the bay, and pick it up on the beach

27. You are outraged that they won’t deliver it to you at the shoreline.

28. 40 MPH is more like a rough guide rather than a speed limit

29. That’s why you have a car that can do at least 3 times that amount

30. You resent having to pay VAT for anything

31. Planning a night out is just not necessary, just turn up

33. Just turning up is also valid while visiting friends houses

34. You find it hard to keep the smug expression of your face when friends visiting from England say 'wow, what an amazing place to live, you are so lucky'

36. You have a beach car

37. You have had at least one 'sea hole' from going into the sea too much

38. You kinda like it though; shows that you have been making the most of the summer

39. You just don’t understand how anyone can be bored in the summer

40. You know where the Minquiers and Ecréhous are

41. You understand the phrase- 'go through the country and not town'

42. You know that Lib square in the evening is for chavs

43. You always take a camera- a photo op is always available.

44. You know that Town = St. Helier

45. When you go for a run, its usualy on a beach

46. You have a local beach cafe, be it big verns, wayside, or hungry man

47. Before you speak openly to look around to check that there is not anyone you know listening.... but still you cant be sure- spies every where

48. If you do something embarrassing, chances are that one of your parents friends saw it and has already informed them about it

49. You still deny it though

50. You see yourself as either a Westsider or Eastsider but never a Townee.

51. You know all about the Capanina and what you are saying when you tell people that you are having lunch there
