  • These are my confessions....

You ever completely blow an opportunity to do what's right regardless of what everyone else is doing. Well I did that last night. I won't go into specifics, but I'll say someone's hurt feelings would have been spared had I done something. I feel like shit today. Possibly because I only slept a couple hours last night, but more likely because I missed an opportunity to say "no, this is wrong". While I didn't actively hurt this persons feelings, I am more responsible for the outcome. I sat back and did nothing. The kids that started the problem have an excuse for their behavior, they are unregenerate people. I have the living God within me, what's my excuse? Just seconds after this incident God asked me "Did you seriously just sit there?". Few times in my life have I been more ashamed.

What bothers me most is that a few years ago I wouldn't have even had to think about it, I would have done the right thing instantly. Which leads me to the conclusion that my process of sanctification is likely regressing. Sometimes I think I look less and less like Jesus with each passing day. Which is maybe why God allowed me to sit back, because he wants me to realize my need for Him. He wants me to desire to be like Him. He wants me to desire His approval more then men's.

    Who knows? I need sleep.
