Followers have seen new rules and game play added this season which has illuminated the sport, and helped contribute to it switching over to more mainstream crowds. These new rules see the racers going a lot faster by adding their own skills and techniques to the race, pushing new limits and making new records to be broken.

the controversial 'compensation rule' implied to officials by the leading vegetarian racer, Mathew Seabright, was quickly accepted into the rule books as the original 'none handicap' game play was seen upon as bios’, and wasn’t contributing to the sport in any way. the compensation rule gives racers freedom to take out elements of the race they can not do, e.g. meat for a vegetarian. These handicaps are then compensated with a time penalty, according to the food item taken out of the race. Some time penalties as follows.

Burger bun-12sec (each)
Chips-30sec

-ice can now also be removed but without a time penalty.

The 'Lay out' rule has also been added to the game. Before hand the racer had to eat the combo in a specific order, one element at a time. This new rule lets the competitor lay out the combo however they want, and eat it in any order. Coaches made instant changes to the way the combo is consumed, making record times eventuate, and giving the game another aspect to be improved on; strategy.

Consistent reward is looking to be claimed by Jacob Newton, having all his times within 6 seconds of each other, and improving. showing good form on all his eats, Newton is also in contention for the endurance title.

Sprinter Sam McFarlane started off the season well with some good times including the season record of 37:-- sec. Yet, bad form and ill starts have seen his endurance and consistent hopes disappear.

Newbie to the combo circuit, Storm Barham, has surprised many with his times. a swift 55:78sec on just his second major league eat saw him hastily shoot up the ranks; now on even par with some big names in the sport such as Shayne Bell and Simon Campbell. Officials were amazed of such a high level talent at such a young age. He has high hopes to do well this season.

Shayne Bell has heavy expectations to snatch the endurance reward from early leader in the event, Jacob Newton. Known as 'the big man', bells tall, toned structure stands over most in the competition, this is backed up by his enormous apatite for not only the cheeseburger combos, but to win. Putting back the combos one after another, Shayne shows good form going into the later rounds; in perfect position to move up the ranks, and possibly take out number one spot.
