My Labour!
it started at 7am on the 16th the nurse came in to put the cervidil in so that it culd soften up my cervix for it to dialate, she ended up checkin me before she put it in to see if i was already dialating and i was already 3cms so all she had to do was brake my waters. I felt a few little contractions but not to bad just like mild period pain. About 8am they started the cetocin drip to bring on my contrations and within 10 minutes of them starting that the contractions started gettin more painful. I asked for the gas only had 2 sucks and didnt want it cuz it made my head feel dizzy. About 9am the doctor came in and offered me the epidural because it helps keep high blood pressure down and mine was abit high, i said no at first but at about 9.45 i asked for it because at that stage i was over the pain and just wanted her out! The nurse checked how far dialated i was and i was 6-7cms and thank god cuz i new it was nearly over. about 10am the eneithatist came in and gave me the epirudal it was about 10.30 by the time they finished putting it in.. At about 10.50 the nurse checked me again and i was 10cms so fully dialated and was ready to push. I pushed for 30 minutes and at 11.22am my little princess was born weighing 7lbs 1oz and 48cms long. I had really bad tares so i was taken up to theatre to get stiched up and fixed. 2 n half hours i came out of theatre and was taken back to my room with my little girl and it was all over.
3 n half hours labour =) soo happy it wasnt hours and hours but i wuld do it all again.
Its amazing how much love you can have for someone so little. I cant explain the feeling of the first seeing that little face laying there on your chest screaming its little lungs out
